Infused honey tea/cold drink
Not only is this honey absolutely delicious, you can use it for so much! It’s great for soothing sore throats and coughs, you can sweeten your herbal tea with it, use it on toast or as a topping….or just take a spoonful because it’s just SO good! And of course, you can use it in your lemon-honey water!
Ingredients
2 Meyer lemons
1 tbsp nigella seed
1 teaspoon salt
1 teaspoon baking soda
1 cup Honey
1 sterilized airtight jar
Method:
Wash the lemon with salt. Mix baking soda in water and wash lemons in it. Wash with water after and dry.
Cut the lemons in think slices.
Add lemon, nigella seeds and honey to the jar in layers.
Screw the lid tight and put in the fridge for atleast 12 hours.
For hot drink:
Add one or two tablespoon in a cup and add hot water and drink. You can add a green tea bag or tea bag to the cup as well
For cold drink:
Add 2 tablespoon in a glass add cold water or soda water to the cup. Add ice and drink
Shelf life:
The mixture will keep in a sealed jar in the fridge for up to 2 months .
